The Center for Craft Creativity and Design 20th Anniversary

  • Center for Craft Creativity and Design 67 Broadway Street Asheville, North Carolina 28801

This year, I’m delighted to participate as a member of the host committee of the Center for Craft, Creativity & Design’s 20th Anniversary Celebration in Asheville on August 11th. The CCCD is an important funder of craft artists, scholars, and institutions and promoter of craft art nationally. Since 2006 they have awarded 115 Windgate Fellowship awards of $15,000 each to emerging and practicing artists. They curate original exhibitions, including Made in WNC,  which is traveling to NYC in May 2016 to be featured at the WantedDesign international design fair in Brooklyn.  The CCCD is a critical sponsor of original research and documentation in American crafts including Makers by Janet Koplos and Bruce Metcalf. After 20 years of vibrant support of the field, it’s time to celebrate.

Sponsors and advertisers will be recognized in a 20th Anniversary Celebration commemorative catalogue, on social media, on the event website and before 300-400 business leaders, collectors, and supporters of the arts: http://cccdnow.org/20years/
